Shelley,
Amazingly, I had an hour and a half “Thai/Yoga” experience right here in Cincinnati several years ago by a practitioner/friend who had been trained in Thailand. But he had either “Americanized” it for my benefit or it was a slightly different technique than what you described because I actually felt GREAT afterwards and he improved a condition in my neck that had been there for YEARS! I am not very flexible though and I do remember that it was a quite uncomfortable at times, and definitely NOT like a relaxing Swedish massage! Kudos to you for trying it – especially for such a worthy cause! May your next self-indulgent-good-deed be a little more soothing!
